Reporting a Case of Sexual Abuse of a Minor to the Diocese of San Bernardino

If there is suspected abuse of a minor:


• Report to local law enforcement authorities and to Riverside or San Bernardino County Child Protective Services office. In Riverside County call 1-800-442-4918 or in San Bernardino County call 1-800-877-8724



• Diocesan Vicar General or the Diocesan Hotline at 1-888-206-9090, if a member of the clergy committed the abuse,

• Director Human Resources 909-475 5177 if a Church employee or volunteer committed the abuse, or



• Superintendent of Schools, 909-475-5433 if an educator, school employee or school volunteer committed the abuse, and or



• To your immediate supervisor. If there is a violation of other Diocesan policies for the protection of minors and vulnerable adults from abuse:



• Speak one on one with the person who has violated the policy, if the person witnessing the violation is able to, or



• Two persons go to the person who has violated the policy to discuss the issue and seek amendment, or



• Speak to your immediate supervisor. If your immediate supervisor was the person violating policy then report to the next person up in the line of authority.
